Before Your First Coaching Session

Before you meet with your Mind-Gap Coach for the first session, please can we ask you to reflect on the questions below and log your answers using this form.

1. About You

  • What brings you to coaching at this point in your life or career?

  • What are you hoping to gain or change through this coaching relationship?

  • How would you describe your current state of mind, energy, and motivation?

2. Focus Areas

  • What are the top 2–3 areas you’d like to explore or improve during our time together?

  • Are there any specific goals, challenges, or transitions you’re currently facing?

  • What would success look like for you at the end of our coaching engagement?

3. Contracting and Expectations

  • What expectations do you have of me as your coach?

  • What expectations do you have of yourself in this process?

  • How would you like us to handle accountability, feedback, and progress tracking?

4. Engagement and Commitment

  • On a scale of 1–10, how committed are you to doing the work between sessions? What would help you stay at or increase that level?

  • How do you prefer to be challenged or supported when things get uncomfortable?

  • What might get in the way of your full engagement, and how can we address that?

5. Values and Style

  • What values are most important to you in your personal and professional life?

  • How do you typically respond to change, feedback, or uncertainty?
